Description: The
Seattle Walk to Defeat ALS, now in its 10th year will once again be held
in the lower loop of Seward Park. Nice flat paved trail (with
occasional tree root damage) around Lake Washington with awesome views
of water and mountains. Circle around twice to complete the 5 mile
route. ADA accessible, children’s playground, dogs on a leash welcome.
This walk is to honor and support those who are living with or have lost
their lives to Lou Gehrig’s disease. The Walk to Defeat ALS is The ALS
Association's national signature event. Each year, over 65,000 people
including ALS patients, families, friends and corporate leaders join
together to raise funds in support of The Association’s cutting-edge
research and community-based patient services programs.
